Summer in Lund

19 Jun

Still in Lund after most students have skipped town? Don’t despair, you’re not alone, and there’s still entertainment to be found. (Sure, it’s a great time to further your research and projects, but you can’t be doing just that 24/7!)

As a good start, check out the June 2010 LUFF Newsletter for some Lund summer info, about Midsummer celebrations, trips around Lund, activities in town, etc.

Though most student nations close up shop until mid or late August, some do maintain a certain level of activity all summer long. Double check nation’s website to be sure (Google translate required in most cases).

Krischansta Nation: Sommarkrischan every Wednesday and Friday from 5pm-11pm, serving drinks and food, with a nice patio space.

Lunds Nation: Sommarpenthouse nightclub Thursdays and Saturdays. Food served from 6pm, dance from 10pm-2am. A Summer Card must be purchased (50 SEK, valid all summer for Lunds Nation only).

Wermlands Nation: Sommarpub/Sommarklub – Terrace food and drinks Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7pm, (weather permitting – Jazz bar indoors in case of bad weather), club at 10pm. Closed July for renovations, reopening in August.

As for The Dynamo, we’re slowing down for the summer season but do keep checking us out , we’ll be updating the site once in a while – and preparing for our full-out return in the fall!
