June 6th marks Sweden’s National Day (previously Flag Day; also the day King Gustav Vasa was crowned in 1523).

This holiday is somewhat subdued in Sweden as compared to other countries’ national festivities – see an interesting official page here, and another cute, more personal post about it here.

In Lund, there will be a celebration at the Kulturen open-air museum (have a look at the PDF program, in Swedish), starting at 2pm. There will be music and flag-waving.
